Recycling wood helps reduce negative environmental impact because it lessens the need for deforestation.  The source for wood is finite, so when cutting down trees is not controlled, it causes devastating effects on the environment.  Wood recycling is the most sustainable option for producing wood products. Even if recycled materials are only partially used, the negative effects on the environment are reduced.  

Additionally, recycled wood products cost less than new ones.  This is primarily because the process of recycling requires less energy than producing new from virgin materials.  Uses include Structural, Aesthetic, Transport and Information.
